About ICEST
The International Conference on Innovations in Engineering, Science and Technology for Sustainable Development (ICEST) is organised by The Maldives National University. Established in 2023, ICEST provides a multidisciplinary platform for researchers, academics, professionals, industry representatives and students to present and discuss research, technological innovations and practical solutions supporting sustainable and resilient development.
ICEST 2023 marked the inaugural edition of the conference series, establishing a platform for international academic and professional exchange in engineering, science and technology. The proceedings of ICEST 2023 were published in AIP Conference Proceedings.
Following ICEST 2023 and ICEST 2025, the 3rd International Conference – ICEST 2027 will be held on 3–4 October 2027 in Malé, Maldives, under the theme “Innovations Beyond Boundaries.”
ICEST 2027 covers electrical and electronic engineering, renewable and sustainable energy, information and communication technologies, artificial intelligence, computing, architecture and urban planning, civil and coastal engineering, mechanical and mechatronics engineering, chemical and food engineering, applied sciences, and related emerging technologies.
Particular emphasis is placed on digital transformation, environmental sustainability, climate resilience, sustainable infrastructure and practical engineering solutions relevant to island and developing communities.
The ICEST conference series has an established record of international scholarly dissemination. Proceedings of ICEST 2023 were published in AIP Conference Proceedings, while proceedings of ICEST 2025 were published in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
